What is the WSLDC?

Operating within an agreed construction, the commitee is elected by and represents the interests of the dental practicioners in West Sussex. It acts as a liasion and advisory body to the PCT and secondary care services on all matters pertaining to dentistry, negotiating on behalf of and updating its constituents on a wide range of issues.

In addition, members represent the proffesion on other commitees such as the Oral Health Advisory Group, the General Dental Practicioner Committee, and the exectuive and clilical governance committees of the PCT.

The LDC meets four times per annum in full session, with a further six executive committee meetings throughout the year. Eligible practitioners may attend full meetings by prior arrangement as invitees, in addition to which there is an AGM open to all, which is usually held in November. We welcome input both at this meeting and also via e-mail to the executive.
