I qualified in 2009 from The Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s Dental Institute in London having won the Maurice Wohl General Dental Practice prize for clinical excellence in general practice care and soon after settled in West Sussex for my Vocational Training position. Having enjoyed working in general practice in Sussex I was fortunate enough to stay on at the same practice where over the years I have taken on greater responsibility in the management and direction of our team, culminating in being made a partner at the practice in 2015. In 2013 I was also fortunate enough to be award the prize of ‘Young Dentist of the Year – South East Region’.
I am committed to the education of our work force in dentistry and as such have been a clinical teacher at Kings’ College since 2009 helping to educate our undergraduate dentists as well as DCPs in my role as an examiner for the National Board of Dental Nursing. My personal development has seen me undertake the Joint Membership Diploma for the MJDF and also an MClinDent in Prosthodontics.
During my early career in dentistry I have already experience a dynamic shift and change in the way that our industry operates and is regulated and I felt it important from the beginning to be a part of this change as much as I can. I have been an elected member of the West Sussex LDC since 2010 and am able to represent the view point of both young associates and also that as a principal now during what is anticipated to be an important time of further change with in NHS dentistry.
Out side of dentistry I enjoy keeping fit as well as exploring my creative and experimental culinary skills, albeit not always that successfully!
