What is the WSLDC?

Operating within an agreed construction, the committee is elected by and represents the interests of the dental practitioners in West Sussex.

Local Dental Committees were set up in statute since the inception of the NHS, their purpose is to support and represent those dentists working within the NHS.

We are as a liaison and advisory body to the NHS and secondary care services on all matters pertaining to primary care dentistry, negotiating on behalf of and updating its constituents on a wide range of issues.

We represent dentist on service planning through Local Dental Network (LDN), Managed Clinical Networks (MCN. Locally and nationally through the LDC conference and GDPC committee.

The activities of the LDC are funded through the statutory levy.
